Rosie is watching TV in her bed. Her husband opens the front door. Rosie becomes very afraid. She becomes very afraid every time her husband opens the front door. She wants to switch off the TV but it is too late. Her husband is at the door of the room. He runs to her and hits her on the face. He shouts at her. He doesn’t like it when she watches the TV when he comes home. He hits her many more times. He kicks her in the leg. Tears come out of her eyes but she says nothing. She knows it makes him more angry. Her nose is bleeding. Her eyes hurt. Her arms hurt. Her legs hurt. Her husband goes to the kitchen. He has dinner. When he finishes, he goes to the bathroom to have a shower. When he comes out of the bathroom, he smiles at Rosie. He wants to be in bed with her. She doesn’t want it but she doesn’t show it. They are in bed together. When he falls asleep Rosie gets out of the bed. She goes out to the garage. She opens the car tank door. She puts one end of a pipe in the tank. She sucks some petrol out of the car tank into a pot. She goes back into the house. She pours the petrol around and on her husband on the bed. Before he realises what is happening, she lights a match stick and throws it on the bed. She runs out of the house. She runs to her lady-friend nearby. Her lady friend knows what to say to the police. She used to have a tyrannical husband, too.
