“Do you remember your name?”
“No I don’t.”
“Do you know how old you are?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Do you remember your parents?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Do you remember anything from your life?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Great, Mr Smith. It seems the memory deletion has been successful. Just as you wanted.”
“What did I want?”
“You wanted us to delete your memory. We succeeded. You don’t remember anything.”
“I don’t remember that.”
“Of course you don’t. As I said we succeeded.”
“I don’t believe you. You are playing with me.”
“Sir, let me show you this. You made this video for yourself. Do you recognize yourself? I am leaving now. What you are going to see and hear is only for you. Push this button to start, this one to rewind, and this one to delete.”
The man leaves the room.
Mr Smith pushes the start button.
“Hi! If you are watching this, the doctors succeeded. You have no memory of the past. You can start a new life. You will have no negative feelings, no regrets, no fear, no hurts, no anger. I made a few mistakes in life which I regret deeply. I have done stupid things that made me fearful. I have been hurt a few times. And I became angry with a lot of people. You are free of these negative emotions. Have a nice life!”
