The man is in a dark hotel room. He gets his food in the room. He gets the morning newspaper every day. He reads the whole newspaper. He never goes out of the hotel room. He is waiting for the signal. One morning while he is drinking his morning coffee and reading his newspaper the cup stops halfway to his mouth. The title of the article made him stop ‘A bloodless body found in the city center’. He puts down the cup and reads the article. The police are investigating the murder of a man who had no blood in his body when was found. The police don’t know what this means and where to start. They found some bite-marks on the man’s neck. It looks like a snake-bite.
The man puts down the newspaper and smiles. He pulls a gym bag from under the bed. He checks if he has everything he needs in the bag: a bible, a wooden cross, a silver knife, a few wooden sticks, a mirror, some garlic, a bottle of petrol, matches and a cross. These are his weapons and protection. He closes the bag and puts it on his wide shoulder. The man leaves the room for the first time in two years. He’s got the signal.
