#47: He wants to feel young again

Oscar looks into the mirror. He sees an old man. There are wrinkles around his eyes. There are wrinkles on his neck, too. His hair is getting grey and thin. His belly is getting bigger. His muscles are getting weak. He believes young men and women think he is unattractive. He decides to change all that. He buys the best makeup for men. He buys moisturizer for his neck. He joins a gym to lose weight. He goes to the hairdresser to get his hair dyed. He wears scarfs. The scarfs cover his neck. Wearing a tattoo is modern and fashionable now. He gets a tattoo on his arm. It is modern and fashionable to wear an earring. He gets an earring into one ear. Young men go to clubs on weekends. Oscar starts going to clubs on weekends. There are a lot of young people at the clubs. Oscar feels young with young people. Some young girls dance with him. Some young men talk with him. Oscar feels young again. He thinks young people find him attractive.
One day when he goes home and looks into the mirror, he doesn’t feel young. He feels tired. He also feels sad a bit.
“Game over,” he says to himself. “I will never be young again. I am old and I only get older and older.”
As soon as he says this, he feels better about himself. But he realizes he is lonely. He has been a widower for two years. He wants to find a woman. He must find a woman who will like him the way he is. He must find a woman of his age
