John is sitting in front of an office. The manager in the office will interview him for a job. There is a woman sitting next to John. John believes she is also here for the job interview. She is wearing a nice dress. Her hair is tied up nicely and her makeup is just perfect. But what is that? John notices a booger in her nose. Maybe it got there the last time she blew her nose, and she hasn’t used her powder mirror since then. John smiles. This is good for him. If she goes to the job interview with a booger in her nose, he will have a higher chance of getting the job. Someone comes out of the office. ‘Next’ John hears from inside. It is his turn. He goes inside. He has the interview. When he comes out, he goes to the woman:
“There is a booger in your nose,” he says and points at his nose.
“Not anymore. But your fly is open.”
John reflexively reaches for the zip on his trousers. He pulls up the zip. She smiles.
