“He was crying like a baby. I killed him anyway,” the man with an ugly tattoo on his arm says to his friend in the hotel lobby. They don’t realize that what they say can clearly be heard five meters away from them. Zoe is sitting there. She is shocked by what she is hearing. But she is pretending to be reading a newspaper. “Then I killed his wife,” continues the criminal. “Which is a real shame. She was really hot. Anyway, they should have paid.”
Zoe is terrified. The man has just admitted to killing two people. He must go to prison. Why is he still free? Where are the police? Zoe keeps listening. The two men are talking about their crimes and she is listening. She is listening for details that could prove that they are real criminals. They are probably good at hiding their crimes. She needs proof. She cannot just come to the police saying “These people are criminals. They kill people.” Nobody will believe her, not until she has proof. “You know what we did with the foreign bitch? We built her into the house. She is there in the concrete. The new boxing ring is right on top of her.” And another murder! This is too much for her. She is feeling very tired now. She feels how all energy is leaving her. “Let’s go boxing.” says the other. “I could do with a bit of punching.”
Her time has come. She will follow the men and she will have proof. The man leave and sit into a car and drive away from the hotel. Zoe catches a taxi. The taxi is waiting for his clients. “I will pay you 100 dollars, plus the fare” she says. The driver opens the door for her. She instructs the taxi-driver to follow the car of the criminals. They come to a boxing club. They go inside. She must go inside to see if they have a boxing ring on concrete platform. Her heart is pounding heavily. She is afraid to go inside. They may remember her from the hotel. She makes a quick decision. She goes to the nearest police station and tells them what she has heard. The following day she sees the men on the local television. They are going to prison for a long time.
