The bunker

John is working in the garden when he hears the alarm. He knows what this means. He must go to his bunker. He is prepared for this. He has all necessary things to live and survive in the bunker for a week and even more. He opens the doors to his bunker. He lives alone, so he waits for nobody to come. He closes the thick door behind him. He looks around in the bunker. There is a bed, a chair and a table. There is plenty of canned food on the shelves. And hanging on the wall is his most important possession: a gun. He goes to have a shower. He wants to feel good in the bunker. After the shower he goes to the shelf and looks for something he would like to eat. He takes a can of peaches. The paper on the can looks good and makes John want to have some peach. He puts his hand in the pocket. He looks for something to open the can with. There is nothing there. He checks the toolbox. There is an electric drill and a hammer and a screwdriver and there is a saw. There isn’t a can opener. There isn’t a can opener in the bunker. He tries to open the can with the things he has. He tries the saw, but the small pieces of metal get into the food. He tries the the electric drill. The same result. He looks at the gun. He places the can to the wall and shoots a bullet into the can. The can explodes, and all the peach ends on the floor. They are again full of small metal pieces. There is only one choice. He has to eat the food with the metal pieces inside. He tries to remove the metal, but it is tiring work. Well, he will definitely remember to bring a can opener next time.
